Poppy Passing - Bay Area Climbing Gear and Beta

This week's gear and beta is all about accessing the amazing crags the Bay Area has to offer. With the Golden Poppy Pass, you get entrances to most of the state parks in California and most if not all near Bay Area climbing areas. Be sure to check out the list of parks here. The pass costs around $125, and after maybe 13-15 uses it pays to have. If your project ends up being at one of the state parks you might find this is a good way to go. We've used the pass to get into Castel Rock State Park, Mt Diablo, Auburn SRA and many other areas.

Something simple as a Parks pass also helps fund the areas that house many amazing climbs so purchasing can help to guarantee the climbs and trails are maintained for years to come! We've enjoyed the flexiblility the pass provides us and saves us time entering any areas with a gate. And it has uses outside of just climbing so you can get out and enjoy many other parks in California and helps to pay back for the up front cost of the pass.

If you have any questions reach out to us by email or on instagram @stoneriverclimbingco and see what we are up too over there. Be safe and go crush!
